History
Saint Mark of Ephesus Orthodox Church was established in 1972 by ten founding members who wished to worship in an Orthodox Church according to the Traditional Patristic Calendar. They purchased their first building on Albano Street, Roslindale but unfortunately the church was burnt down in 1974. After a search by the parishioners they found a new property and settled on 850 South Street, Roslindale. The parish worshipped there for the next thirty nine years and grew to a large Orthodox Community. The parish was served for most of those years by Protopresbyter Christos Constantinou, who was ordained in 1979.
In 2014, the parish relocated to its present location of 340 Clapboardtree Street, Westwood. Thanks to our God’s grace and to the dedication of the faithful, the parish has grown to over 100 families. The Community throughout these years has established a Church School, the Saint Philothei Philoptochos, a Greek School and a Byzantine Choir. The Parish is now led by Protopresbyter George Kamberidis, who was ordained in 2009.
